Learn step-by-step the latest project management concepts and technologies. The method taught here includes tools that encourage team participation in project planning and mentoring, resulting in increased buy-in and commitment from team members and better overall project results. Targeted for beginning Project Managers and Project Managers who have not had formal project management training and for those who want to learn more about participative team-based methods for planning, executing and closing a project.

+ What you will learn
  • Develop a document that describes what is expected from the project team
    by management
  • Hold a project kick-off meeting to bring the team together
  • Develop a scope description, scope boundaries and identify deliverables
  • Break down the project into subprojects and define the subproject deliverables
  • Assess the risk of the organisational deliverables and develop countermeasures
  • Reassess the composition of the team to make sure the right skills are included
  • Compile the Project Plan and learn of ways to get it approved
  • Monitor the environment and manage change
  • Close a project and write a Close-Out report.

+ Prerequisites
  • No previous Project Management experience required, awareness of a project
    management environment would be of benefit
  • No off-site components or study required.
